In partnership with the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA), Obsurvant has released the latest edition of the Navigating the Night Tracker, an ongoing study monitoring the state of nightlife and the night-time economy across the UK.
The report provides in-depth consumer insights into nightlife participation, spending, affordability, safety perceptions and public attitudes towards government support for the sector. Building on the foundations established in Q4 2025, this latest wave delivers fresh data and analysis on how consumers are navigating an increasingly challenging economic environment.
The research reveals continued pressure on nightlife participation, particularly among lower-income consumers, for whom rising costs and transport barriers are making nights out increasingly difficult. The research also highlights the growing political significance of the night-time economy, with industry support and Purple Flag commitments influencing voting intentions, especially among younger voters.
